Posted under Everyday Life & My Thoughts

Referring to one piece of material which I read from minishorts, A Letter. I can’t say in a more significant way that I agree with her comments. Islam or if I were to put it, Muslim is being misunderstood and even condemned in some parts of the world (especially you know where). These thoughts of condemnation and misinterpretation has sky rocketed with the previous incidents which has caused havoc to the states.
I believe there are a lot of believers out there who are very faithful be it for Islam, Buddhist, Hindu, Christian as well as other religions. They are basically very faithful worshippers of their religion and I do believe they grip very strongly to the teachings of their religions.
Ok, before I continue with this I need to clarify that I am not of any of the categories as listed above, as I am a freethinker. I have attended church services, Buddhist talk and learnt South East Asia and world Islamic history before.
Although I am not religiously into either of the religions but I have learnt some important lessons throughout my journey in religions. I have learnt that all religions teach its followers to do good deeds and not to sin. They unite their followers through faith in god. But the most important things that I learnt from all these is MUTUAL RESPECT.
Of coz there are always the bad eggs that taints the name of the good be it religion, family, business or basically anything. But if we look deeper in it I believe any one with a heart, not to say brain, would know that it is not the teachings of the religions that is at flaw, it is the person itself. If you kill a person, it is you that is a bad person, you don’t go around and say if you are a Muslim, then Islam is bad… if you are Buddhist, then Buddhism is bad… if you are Hindu, then Hinduism is bad… and so forth. If you have this kind of mentality then I sole believe you need help.
We live in a multi racial community and we have so many ethnic and religions around us. I believe that we have been living in harmony because of mutual respect for each other, the beliefs, culture, tradition and all those little things that made us different. I have always been fascinated when watching different cultures and traditions in my life such as wedding of Indians, malays and even Chinese.
As MENJ mentioned in DeepaRaya? Sacriligeous!, it is merely a phrase in which in conjunction where we are celebrating both occasion at the same time of the years. It is a joyous occasions for both Muslims and Hindus, where I know many are celebrating them with so much joy TOGETHER. It is the mutual respect and “MUHIBAH” of our multi racial community that brings us together, celebrating these occasions together. Isn’t all these in the teachings we preach in every single religions, a harmonious community? Those that I know do.
So why not respect each other and create a harmonious community, a united nation called Malaysian. Why whine?

Let’s celebrate the festivity of Deepavali and Hari Raya together as Malaysians.

Happy Deepavali

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri

Its a catchy phrase that was made up to attract and make people spend $$$ ma. Just like “gong xi raya” or somthing like that years back. I guess no matter who we are, when we are malaysians we celebrate the festivities as Malaysians. And if you do not feel like celebrating then you still have to respect others. Let’s all celebrate it with joy for everyone!!!

[...] Luckily, there are still many of us who have a sound mind. Who know Deeparaya is just to mark our super slim racial harmony which is as thin as Kotex Ultraslim. Nobody is even questioning each others’ religious teachings. Thank you very much to Khoo Choo Ki a.k.a. Minishorts, Lainie, Tariq Kamal a.k.a. T-Boy, Zeroimpact, Vincent and the rest who have screwed bloody MENJ from behind. He memang asked for it [...]

[...] I’ve talked about mutual respect sometime back, which was more on respect for other’s religion and stuff like that. This time around I am writing something like that as well. By the way you may want to read this, this and this. I won’t elaborate them here as I believe you will be able to read them. [...]
