Posted under Everyday Life & Life & My Thoughts
We have seen in movies. We have seen it in real life. Some of us may even have paid money to see them in real life performing shows. So, could we say that it’s no big deal? If we have known of this matter so long ago and some of us is that curious to find ways and means to locating and see them in real life. So what is the big fuss about?
I guess it all became a public discussion again when a public event was hosted and was covered by the news. It all started with Jessie and Joshua with this and then this and this. Then there was this. And then I saw this regarding Mumtaz.
I have checked and here is what I have found this
Transsexual
1.somebody whose sex is surgically changed
•somebody who has undergone surgical and hormonal treatment to change his or her anatomical sex
2.somebody who identifies with opposite sex
•somebody who identifies himself or herself as and wants to become a member of the opposite sex
I have never brought this to much deeper thoughts than a you see and that’s about it thinking. But I guess that is no longer the case as it seems to be bigger than ever now. There have been articles and thoughts from various parties regarding the matter, from individuals and from organizations. There are those who oppose the idea of transsexuals totally, some agree to an extend if it is not publicized, some just accepts the idea and some just don’t care at all.
I guess that our society today is still not at the stage where we could accept such events or changes like some of our counterparts in the other continents. Our society still holds strong to the roots of our ancestors no matter where they started of in the East. It is difficult to change overnight or even a decade. I believe that this matter was present a long, long time ago. It’s just that it was never been properly addressed. We have heard bout all these in the news, seen it in movies, read in magazines and articles, all from abroad. We all knew that it would soon reach our shores during that time, but we chose to ignore. Now when it finally reaches, it creates a long awaited uproar and the response… it’s different from individuals to organizations.
Imagine this, your kids come asking you how they will have sex and bear children? I remember someone once told me, her daughter asked this question, why the guy now only dresses like a girl unlike before whom he dresses like a guy? I guess this would be the nightmare of every parent.
As for me, basically am not disapproving, but rather why do you wan to change or why did you change. What fuels this so called “Wind Of Change”. Don’t ask me, I wouldn’t have a slightest clue. I guess if they want to live life their way, let them be. Why do you want to forbid that! If you were to do that, wouldn’t you be a worst sinner than them, if you relate them be sinners. I guess you would not like if others starts forbidding and criticizing you or the things you do. So I would say let them be however they want to be. It’s been said umpteen of times, that you should live life like you want to live it. They are basically doing that which many of us have no courage to even try. I say let them do what they think is best for them, as they know that better than any one of us. But bear in mind, I am not saying that they should be role models, but they can be and might be icons which we will be or our children will be talking about.
I just have some questions regarding this matter
What really fuels them to change from one sex to another?
What is do you expect or how would you judge such a person?
Do you think you or the society will be able to accept them as part of the community?

Their loves for each others are stronger than everything.
I think they wld be together - legally wed or not.

Their love is stronger than anything that exist in this world. Even though they are not legally married or legally married.
What I don’t freaking understand is why couldn’t they just accept their marriage and celebrate with them happily? Honestly, it’s their life and of course their own judgment on who should they marry and to fall in love with in the first place. But one should not judge Jessie for who she is in the very first place. It’s her past and let it be a past. Why dig it up once again?
The problem with our society is they cannot accept something that is way different from the norm. Yes, I know that it’s not right to undergo sex change but what can we do? It’s not up to our power to tell that person, “Hey, it’s not legal to change your gender.”
Moreover, it’s wrong to actually discriminate them or to even place them in categories like gays or lesbians or transsexuals. They are humans too and are bound to have feelings and emotions within themselves. I think everyone should just put themselves in those transsexuals shoes and think for a moment what would they do if they were in that particular condition.
I don’t discriminate them neither do I hate transsexuals because at the end of the day they are still humans to me. And I don’t see a point in being disgusted with them. Yes, world religions may shun them but it’s all up to us. If you want to shun them from society and our community then what more can we do? We have to obey our religions, yes but sometimes things don’t work the way we want it to be.
And as for Mumtaz, I think the local authorities are so wrong and they shouldn’t even do that to her in the first place. Disgusted with her or not, it’s still wrong to publicly humiliate her and also force her to strip. It’s just unjust.
Where are all the respect and morality within us… Are they going to extinction? Ask and question yourself. I do respect transsexuals because I don’t have any grudges against them and yes they are still God’s creation because at the end of the day they are still considered as a living and breathing being.

Kyels,
Very well said, we should take into consideration of others no matter who they are and how they look like. Just as they say before, we should put away our differences, like skin color, eye color, appearance, gender etc. We are one big nation living in this world and we are called human beings. Why can’t people just forge that in mind and treat everyone as human of a great nation called inhabitants of Earth.

I do agree with what you have just said. There is nothing but the truth.
