A Grand Entrance

I attended the wedding of my colleague and a senior schoolmate last Saturday. Like normal I would be there before the time stated on the card, and then I would wait for the others to come and chat. True enough, the wait was like normal as the dinner started at about 8 prior to the 7 sharp note on the card. I guess it’s a norm again, hai.

It was a definitely a night to remember, firstly is the grand entrance of the loving couple, where normally they would just enter accompanied by music of some sort, but this couple walked in like stars man. They were singing a duet while walking in until they were seated. Something definitely different from all those I went to before this.

But before the start of all these, we were happily seated and started off with a few brandy coke. One of my colleagues was like sober after 2 drinks. I was like, how could this be, how could you get sober with just 2 drinks. Well, I thought never mind, but the following actions from him was a bit the extreme, so I don’t want to talk bout it. overall the dinner was good. I meet with some ex colleagues as well as some of my seniors school mates. That was really fun. It’s not like every day you get to hook up with people which you can relate the past with.

I guess these kinda wedding gala is unavoidable during the “good” months of the year, more if your friends and peers are at the right age, so to speak. I guess it’s like a wave that comes and there is no way you can stop it, but go with it.

It was really a fun dinner and I guess it’s was a really different one with them singing as well as the karaoke session was handpicked with the better bunch with the everyday songs we hear not the 60s kinda song. I guess they have made a lot of effort to making it a wedding that would be enjoyable to all.

I think it’s really nice to have a wedding or whatever function the way we want it. It would be so worth spending all the time and energy until you drop dead everyday. But the results will be of our liking. It would be so much comforting to know we put all the effort and it came out just as we wanted…

Congratulations to the newly weds, Kok Loong and Yuet Wean
