I guess we are living in a very comfortable society, where hunger a thing of the past, and that is a good thing. But then I guess we should look back or across to those who still have to fight again hunger elsewhere. I guess education on history and the news shall be our medium for educating them. And my Dad will always remind me and my siblings to not waste a single grain of rice because the paddy farmers took a very long time to harvest the rice and also to plant them. Basically all those teachings did not leave my mind since and I appreciate food more than anyone could think of. Usually if I cannot finish something I will wrap it up and keep it in the refrigerator and when I am hungry I will just heat it up and gobble it down. Some say it's unhealthy but to me wasting the food is not a good thing either. But nowadays people don't seem to appreciate the food lay down in front of them anymore. It's either they waste it or just leave it untouched if they don't like it. Sigh ... What is becoming of this society? And the children of the future? *rubs your bloated tummy*
