We are definitely living in a place of advancement in a lot of aspect, except humanity. To think that we are so advanced yet so savage and barbaric actually gives me the chills. Bravo that your dad helped someone, I am proud and we should follow in his foot step. (boast abit,hehe :P) but the story is, there's SO MANY cases happening right under our nose! what is wrong with these people? have they nothing else to do? can't even find a simple job as dishwasher or something? few hundred bucks a month definitely not enough if you splurge but should be able to tide over for a while if you use wisely. there's also sooooo many murder cases reported here in singapore. up to this point, i have no idea and i have no interest in following up. questions like, "Why do these people commit the crime?", "Why do they do it unto a harmless lil' girl?" are headlines all over the papers. it's become stale news to me. what is this world coming to? i'm disappointed. i thought as we progress, we should have better living standards, lifestyle, etc. but turned out the ugly sides are coming from all corners. p/s: paiseh for the long-winded comment. i do not understand why crime rates are leaping bounds nowadays. is standard of living getting beyond our control? then how come govt isn’t doing anything?
