The news article Gifts of life in the paper “The Star” speaks by itself. It’s regarding a young man who decided to give the most precious gift to other, not all but enough to make a difference.
This news article is regarding Chit Hwa, which left his family due to a brain tumor, he was 19 then. It’s tragic enough for such a young man but he was courageous and decided to donate his organs out. He has saved 35 persons after his death where his organs were transplanted to the needy. Imagine the courage he had while facing the tortures of the tumor and yet he decided to donate his organs to the needy. His family members were brave too to fulfill his wishes.
I salute him for making such a decision and a moment of silence…
This question actually pops up in my mind once or twice long time ago. I say to myself tat if I passed on this life, I would like to make at least some contribution by donating my organs or whatever that still can be transplanted to help others… I really do. However as the years passed, the thought kind of just disappeared and I don’t even remember there is such a thing until I read this article. When you think about it, it just seems to be such a simple thing, what’s there to it to donate my organs, but then when it comes to the time, you may have different opinions. I have heard so many which decided not to go through with it although they decided to do it when they were much younger.
It’s a tough decision to make and I guess you may have different opinions when you age. Another factor may be that we do not understand certain things that deter us from such an act. As for me, I would not say anything now but then again I may not even qualify. The amount of alcohol intake when I was younger and down may have damaged everything I could use to help myself, least to say others.
What is your opinion and your stand? Would you give up your organs to save others?

Winn,
The thought does provoke some uneasiness, especially for the older folks
I guess superstitious stuff will get more prominent by then
Which might be the barrier for us to donate, or not donate!

I would … But then I am still thinking whether to donate or not to. Well, I guess I will just keep the thought first.

Even the thought counts
Rather than those that do not think bout it

Ah Sim

The dog that does not bark, kills
Normally those that does not talk bout it will do it
Where those that talk loudly bout it will not
I guess from this post it reflects me on the latter
