I reached our infamous PWTC about 10 minutes before 10. We parked in the Mall and then headed to the showroom. I was a bit shocked to see that there was a very long queue just to grab tickets for entering the showrooms. The ticketing area actually took about 30 minutes of my time, sheesh, it’s at this time that I wished I heeded the advise of booking the tickets online from their website here. So for those who wish to go, do book your tickets online if possible, the queuing for tickets is not that fun unless you like to tire you feet even before you get a glimpse of the cars and babes ambassadors.
The motor show spanned through 6 halls. You will first be greeted in hall 1 with Bridgestone’s F1 vehicle, but the attraction is not the car, it’s this fair lass wrapped in white posing for the crowd. I was of course one of those who were there snapping away at her and her accomplice. Worth a mention is the Loremo car which is white in colour and it opens from the front. It’s like one futuristic car from back when I was a kid. Of course not to mention the sweet lass which posed for me and the others with the car.
Besides that you can see others such as Chevy, Hyundai, Kia, Brabus, Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, Peugot, and lots of accessories ranging from audio to tinting. One that should not be missed is the Honda and Mercedes hall which is Merdeka Hall, where you will get to see Asimo in action if you have not seen it before. Another must see would be the Mercedes Mclaren in black, a car to be envied, definitely.
Then the wonders on wheels in the last hall, a must visit, not that you would have a choice, features the dreams most of us would have on wheels. Here you get to see all the luxurious cars from Naza which ranges from Ferrari, Porsche, Bentley, Lamborgini and some that I do not know. Oh, of course there are quite a number of new and old motorcycles there as well.
The motor show is one that should be visited, especially by those that are interested in cars or the shutter bugs that is looking for free models to shoot at, ah sounds just like me. There’s lots of things to see there be it a car enthusiast or an accessories freak, but then of course if you looking for flowers and fruit trees then this is not the place la.
A word of caution for the shutter bugs, make sure you have lots of batteries with you! I ran out of battery by 2 in the afternoon and I had 2 lithium ion batteries with me… that’s how happy my fingers were. So make sure that you have ample of batteries and memories if you are using digital cameras. For the analogue cameras you can opt to buy films and batteries along the way in transitions from hall to hall. There’s lots of food on sale there as well, so you are not allowed to leave and come back, you don’t need to anyway. If you are really into motor vehicles and models, then you can opt to stay in for the whole day, with food and drink available as well as films and batteries, but of coz for a fair amount of money.
