Receiving the honour from Kyels, this is my first story tag… and it’s called Lin Dynasty

Excerpt from Kyels, Chapter 31

“I have the exotic supplies… smiles”
“But you have to do something for me…”
“Not again…”
“What do you want from me”

Lin Dynasty, Chapter 32

“I want you… to find Phrestomansi and… and bring him back to me…”
“What!!”
“You heard me, go and don’t come back without him”
“or you get nothing…” Chrestomansi turned and walked the other way.
“But…” before she could say another word, Chrestomansi disappeared

Not another one! And who is this Phrestomansi?! Where do I find him. She just could not believe her luck. Time is running out and she has got to get the supplies soon or else…

“Where to find Phrestomansi? Where? Where? I have to act fast, time is running out” she mumbles to herself. Who could this Phrestomansi be… the mystery lurks as carrot has no clue what so ever.

Carrot exited and made her way through the dark walkway lighted up only by some filthy old lamp posts. She wanders off into a dark alley unnoticingly and stumbles upon something and fell to the ground.

“Ouch!”

She suddenly felt something moving around her arm. She can feel something scaly resembling a hand touching her which sent a chilling sensation down her spine. She got up hastily trying to hold herself together, but the poor vision in the dark alley left her blinded and her she can only rely on her sense of smell and touch.

“Who’s there… ” she said shakily. There was no reply and the silence created an enormous fear which has already building up in her.

“Aaaarrrrrgggghhhhhhh”
“Let go of me… let go of me… HELP… help me, please let go of me”

She fell on her back as she felt a scaly hand grabs and pull on her left leg causing imbalance to fearful body. Carrot struggles hard kicking with all her might trying to break free. She continued kicking and using her hands trying to crawl towards the other direction but it does not seem to prevail.

As she wave her hand on the ground trying to break free, she managed to grab hold of a crowbar and swung it swiftly against the strong scaly figure holding her leg. She heard a cry of pain and the grip seems to have loosened. Knowing that her efforts will save her, she continuously swung the rod against the figure hitting her own flesh a couple of times as well.

“Yearrrggghhhh…” the grip loosened enough and she released herself from the grip and got up instantly on her feet. Carrot turned around and ran as fast as she could without looking back. She noticed a faint light ahead and ran towards it. as the light becomes more prominent she realized she’s back on the streets, just past the store. She looked back but she could not make out where did the dark alley came from…

“Was that real… was that a dream… could it be a dream…” she was puzzled beyond comprehension.

Then she suddenly recalled, the old woman, may be she knows something. She rushed out hurriedly and ran as fast as her feet could carry her, but alas, when she reached there seem to be no sign of the old woman around. She dropped down on her knees in despair, clenching her fist while it hits the ground.

As she try to recollect herself in the midst of despair, she heard a voice “Are you looking for Phrestomansi?”

She opened her eyes and saw a very young boy which look barely in his teens and said “yes, do you know where he is?”

The boy smiled and helped her on her feet. “I am Phrestomansi and I believe someone sent you to find me?”

“Yes, yes!” she answered with a tear rolling down her cheek. “I’m so glad I found you. Will you come with me. I need to bring you back to Chrestomansi so I can get what I want from him. Please!”

The boy nods his head and carrot smiled back at him. She was so happy that she can finally get what she wanted. She held his hand and tried to lead him towards where Chrestomansi is waiting but he does not seem to budge.

“But you have to help me first!” says Phrestomansi.

Her joy disappeared as she asked him…

“What do you want from me…”

From here I am honoured to pass the torch to Winn to continue the saga. But here’s the catch dear, you have 3 days to do it or you go into the forfeit list.
