Back from the track and circuit. I’m exhausted both mentally and physically. Basically yesterday which my colleague drove and we arrived in Concorde Inn to check in and for his car to be inspected. I thought it would be like a bit thing when they say checking the car for preparation for use on track. To my disappointment, they only checked the tyre pressure and the condition of the wheel and then stuck some stickers on the car. I mean they could have informed us earlier because it’s kind of ridiculous to reach there around 2 to 230 just for them to perform a 10 minutes check and then we have to kill time until 5 for the next session where they gave away t-shirts for participants like me. After that is was another wait until 7 for dinner and briefing… a bit the out right the timing.
Therefore during that time before dinner we went to the terminal to get ice blended coffee which should be either the buck or the bean but then again another disappointment. There no bucks nor bean… they have some weird named café so we resorted to the good old McDs for strawberry sunday and fries. But why, why don’t they have the coffee that I want when I so crave for it… gets you emo u know.
We managed to find a some shops which resembles some small little town nearby. A surprise is that they no only have some shops and mamak style food, there’s like no less than 5 seafood restaurant there. I wonder if the food is nice and who frequents these shops. After grabbing some stuff we forgot from a sundry shop that does not sell beer, we went back to the hotel and went for dinner.
The dinner was a 7 or 8 course, not buffet as I had expected but a banquet style. The dinner was so so, but the main agenda was the briefing of driving techniques and our exercises for the next day. The main instructor was Sean Khoo and he is a very good speaker. Apart from being an expert in driving and all other stunts with a car he is good in making you laugh. He explained on the understeer and oversteer and how to overcome it. He taught us the correct way to set our seats and he kept the crowd interested in it… of coz with a lot of funny stories and elements there.
Oh by the way, half way through and one of the main organizer chap just blurt out England was leading by 1 goal and then continued to close the dinner and briefing session. We din get to watch at all as the match was over after the briefing. The next morning it’s like waking up at 6 for breakfast and proceeding to track… I so wanted to kill myself for putting this old body to so much pain and trouble. I guess that’s what a maniac does, what this maniac does to himself.
The experience will be on another day… I still can’t comprehend some stuff yet. Until then, nite nite to all or at least for me!

Not sure if it impresses anyone, but the experience is totally out of this world.
I was driving on the same track as the F1 drivers
Only difference is they drove twice or more faster than me
