Posted under Everyday Life & My Thoughts
Went to McDonalds yesterday and saw that there was a function going on. It was a birthday party for little bla bla bla. Well, I can’t put the name here of coz, as I don’t know the little chap and I don’t want the parent or any relatives coming after me with knives and forks.
I’m thinking, and it’s been stuck on my mind, why are birthday parties at fast food joint meant for children. I know that children like fast food and stuff like that, but then again don’t we adult succumb to the deep fried oily and whatever fast food outlets provides.
When we are kids, we rely on our parents to buy or even to have a birthday party in fast food restaurants. When we are in our teens we tend to save our allowances or even ask for money from our parents just to eat fast food. But then we never will ask or save to have birthday parties in a fast food outlet. As we grow, it seems to be an uncool thing to have parties there.
I don’t know, why do we have to dress up so nicely and go for very formal dinner parties and not dress very casually and just have fried chicken and fries. It’s just so formal to eat with fork and knife rather than fingers. It’s so dull to just sit and eat and pretend to be someone else rather than to be ourselves at a lower cost some more.
So anyone thinking of throwing their birthday parties at McDonalds, A & W, Mary Brown or even KFC?
If I have one would you all come? The only condition is to have fun, fun fun!!!

I used to be real envious of my friends who had birthday parties at McDonalds and KFC when I was young, because I never had them. But now, I don’t think I’d wanna have a party there

I think just a gathering with good friends where I can talk cock sing song chit chat with them is perfect enough for a birthday celebration.
But if you organize, I sure go! Hahaha!

one reason… we wanna make such occasion different from the rest. those days are considered special and in order for it to be special, it has to be different from the norm… and different from the norm means you must not dress casually, eat with nice cutleries, etc etc etc

I never had a “grand scale” birthday party.. And yeah, if you decided to throw a birthday party here in Terengganu, I’ll definitely attend!!

Well, I think some parents have parties at McDonald for the simple reason that there’s no space at home to throw a party and it cuts down the headache of entertaining the kids.
Are you having a birthday party soon? He he
