Going to work today did pose some uneasy feeling, as I have never started work so early before. Normally I would have taken days that I myself would lose count. The unbearable feeling became heavier as I think of the way I have, or we have been treated over the course of the last month or two.

However today proved something else, as my new boss came in, though the other bad one is still there but just added a layer of protection between us. Like usual, productivity is not as high as many are still on leave.

The start of the afternoon saw some changes to the mood as one came with a deck of cards but I refused as it clearly goes against the code of conduct to gamble in the office especially during office hours. However after a few persuasions, I gave in, but then not to the deck of cards but to three buckets of beer.

It’s also a first to drink during the hours though outside, and like usual, Pavilion was the place again. Now, you know you are still in Chinese New Year mode when you start drinking beer for tea time round 4 and get drunk by the time dinner comes.

I am starting to feel a lot livelier despite the happenings that bring down my feelings. Chinese New Year is a time to be jolly indeed.

Well, there’s always a first to many things and I believe that drinking and drunken this early in a day in a week is not just a onetime affair. Well, cheers to the Tiger and Carls for the tipsy start of the ratty year.

Hope you are having a great time and may this year brings forth the best in life for everyone. Yes everyone including you, you and you.

Eat And Drink

Reading about the encounter with XXL burger from KFC from a certain pink corner refreshed my memory of mine. The truth is it’s not really filling and well, not really up to the burger taste level. I had that 7 inch bread with another 4 pieces of fried chicken, so that would be the last I’ll be tasting the 7 inch burger.

This body has been going for a treat of late. I have in the last month drank more alcohol in the last 2 years or so. I guess the crowd does matter as the bunch of people I work with are either into food or drinks if not both. The visits to hawker stalls, restaurants and eating places has gained me more fat. Yes I’m really looking like an elephant now. They say it’s good to eat, well it is!

The recent places for drinks were my all time favourite Luna Bar in the sky, La bodega Pavillion, and also Island Bistro in Pavillion. It’s been great as that has been the only unwinding situations that I can be in from the amount of time and stress caused by work.

I think I’m starting to eat drink sleep pavilion. I visit Pavillion like at least once a day but normally twice on weekdays. Lunch and dinner is at Pavillion too. I’m starting to think I have a second home here.

Well, anyway a very early Chinese New Year to all.

Santarina In Malacca

Took this while on a day trip to Malacca with one of my ex colleague back in December if I remember correctly. It’s a new complex and just right at that moment Santa Claus and his santarinas appeared. Ate a lot that day also and also managed to get some tees from Charles Cham’s. Day trip can be really nice especially when there is food. May be next post will be of the food, may be…

There seems to be nothing in my mind recently, except tiredness, drained and feeling-less. I’m starting to lose my senses as well as myself.

Too many things have been happening out of control. Not one too many or two too many, but simply mountains of too many out of control happenings. Sleep has left me many, many times, rendering this body numb and mind dead.

Time is passing by. I am passing by too. I’m passing through and being passed through at the same time.

I feel a rush of emotion through my body and mind. A blend of the good and the bad.

Life’s fair in a way, I guess, even when we least expected it to or even not expecting it to.

Playing Flour

I went drive thru style just now for dinner. It was still drizzling lightly and there were a few cars in front of me. As I was waiting to order, I caught a few teenagers playing as it drizzled on. Two of them had in their hand the day to day grocery store red plastic bags. In the plastic bags, it was filled with a white powdery substance. I immediately recognized it, the smooth powder, it was flour.

They were playing with flour, tossing and throwing hands full of flour at each other. I smiled. I tried to recall those moments when I laughed my heart out, almost feeling a heart attack was coming on next. Now I think, at least some of the kids nowadays are doing some of the things we did before.

I read bout the future installed for some of the kids today in tihtahpah’s place and now I can say, there are still some future in them that we had previously. I guess not all of them are confined and there are still some that are enjoying the way we did and imagined it would be lost to them.

Wedding Anniversary 2007

Happy wedding anniversary, to my parents, on this day. This was supposed to come in early of the day, but then again, I’m to be blame. No excuses though.

Many years ago they got together and decided to get married, and to date, I think it’s nearly fourty years of marriage, yes I’m not that kind of good son where I know all these dates and stuff like that.

We had a dinner last weekend, which is the one I was telling you all about and well, I have some pictures to make you guys drool this time. The dinner was a ten course Chinese dinner at Janbo Restaurant in Wenworth Hotel, Jalan Pudu. It so happened that night, there was a wedding dinner too. The room we had comes with it’s own karaoke and television set. Impressive!

I actually wanted to talk about something regarding this matter but then again I think I’ll leave it for next time. I’ll leave you guys and gals here salivating a bit. Not very often you get to see food here eh.

The Thai Buffet
Expressed by zeroimpact on Saturday, 26th May, 2007, 145, 21 at 09:06:27 629

The Thai buffet dinner, which I had last night, is located in Cheras. If you know Leisure Mall in Cheras, this place is not in the mall, but outside, the same row as Hong Leong Bank. It’s the second or third shop from Hong Leong bank.

First of all, sorry for there will be no pictures as I was too hungry at that time and we just ordered and walloped all the food in a blink of an eye. Another thing to note is that this RM 12.90 promotion ends this month, so sad.

The concept of the buffet is like Bangsar Seafood Village, where you can order dishes from the menu and there is no limit imposed on how many times you can order the same dish but the rule is there too, where if you can’t finish, the wastage will be weighted and charged back. Where is Ace Ace when you need him ah.

I will just be brief on this as I do not have much to show. The food was nice, not incredible but nice, better some most of the food you have outside which costs a bomb compared to it. We ordered fish cake, chicken feet, tofu, beef, green curry chicken, cockles, vegetables and quite a number of dishes more. Overall, the food is nice, no regrets. We had to fork out about RM 16.00 as drinks were not included, and of course we ordered dessert as well. For the money spent, I find it really worth it for we walked out of the place feeling so heavy that our legs might just give way. Oh, and it’s only from Monday to Friday and it ends this month.

Now with that, I’m here in the office, having to work this Saturday morning. Tomorrow is a dinner with my family again for some occasion that I’m really proud of. Will tell you all bout it later. So have a good weekend you all and tell me what you will and have done for the weekend, depending on when you read this of coz.

Arcade After Lunch
Expressed by zeroimpact on Friday, 11th May, 2007, 130, 19 at 15:08:25 880

Went for lunch and then ended up in the arcade center during lunch just now. It’s been some time since I went to the arcade, well not that long, considering I had a session with a very good friend of mine some time back. It’s was really great to spend some time playing games in the arcade, rather than playing computer and console games.

I remember that when I used to be younger, we’d frequent the arcade, mainly coz of the company of friends. Another point to note is the simulation games and the bigger screens that the arcade provides. I used to play dance dance revolution, time crisis, dj mix, and some of the other arcade games like street fighter. Those were happy times and very enjoyable too.

Today I did not play any games but rather watched some of my colleagues indulged themselves in time crisis 3 and I helped one of them with gears and horn while he was playing 18 wheeler. It was fun and the laughter, well it does more than just a laugh to make you happy, if you know what I mean.

Apart from that is the normal agenda to scout around for new games and also the players, well, girls. It’s incredible how the revolution of arcade has become. They have more simulation games especially the dancing ones. Not to mention is a group of students, in t shirts of coz, dancing and playing the simulation games. The shooting games also made it far with silent scope and time crisis.

It’s been sometime since I had such a good laugh. It was refreshing to dwell in the world of arcades, and the laughter that I got from these colleagues of mine, they brightened up the me inside, which is well needed at this time.

So do you go to the arcades?

Juwita Suwito At Alexis 14th April 2007

When I saw her name in the email from that I got from Alexis, I know that my weekend would be spent there. Eventually I booked a table on both Friday and Saturday, to see her perform, but then I only managed to go on Saturday only. She released her album earlier in February entitled “For Real” and of coz I can’t miss this chance to grab her album and pestered for a signature on the CD like I did the last time.

It was her first full performance since the launch of her album and like always, it was a blast. This time I sat real close right in front, the first row from the stage. It was the ordinary two set performance with her powerful vocals and meaningful lyrics.

The song that was performed was from both her previous and latest album as well as some other songs by other artists. Those songs are “Destiny’s Calling”, “Ordinary World”, “Beautiful Lies”, “Mencintaimu”, “Only In The Dark”, “Desperado”, “For Once In My Life”, “Leading Change”, “All This Time”, “Because Of You”, “Walking Again”, “Teman Sejati”, “What’s On Your Mind”, “Walk Away”, “I Feel The Earth Move” and few more which I could not recall the name. Oh, and there was birthday dedications too and when she sang the birthday song, I over heard a remark that it sounds so beautiful when she sings it, no doubt about it.

The band consist of the Alena Tan on piano, Mozad on base, Wagner on drums, Andrew Lau on Guitar and another guitarist which I could not remember his name for he is new to the band, well at least from the last performance that I went to. A remarkable band and of coz Juwita is very friendly. However I did not stay till late which I normally do, one reason being gulping a bottle of wine alone does not really make me any less drowsy as sleeping time draws near.

It was a really great performance and well, my dear waiter cut his hair short, he used to have very long hair, longer than mine. Well, thanks Ted, it’s nice to see you again and your service and other are always good. Next week is Sharizan Borhan, a jazz and swing singer, on the 20th and 21st. I wonder if I’d be there again.

Well, I did not go for Sharizan’s gig, which I’m sure it’s a good one. Dinners on both day so that’s why I did not manage to go.
