School Uniform Is NOT the Reason

Posted by: Fahmi05

As a teacher, I have to disagree with the statement on the school uniforms being the cause for immoral acts of boys.  UTTER NONSENSE!!!

Look around you and examine the current social situation in our country.  How the girls dress outside school hours is umpteen times more sexy and revealing than their school uniform.  In fact, when I was in school we were still wearing pinafore (which are actually less revealing than the baju kurung.  The baju kurung was only making its appearence as a school uniform then.  From then until now, it had never been made into an issue.  This is because it is a NON-issue.

BE REALISTIC!!!  Students as young as the age of 8 years old are exposed to all sorts of pornographic material (a fact garnered by primary school teachers), students are influenced by indecent way of dressing particularly from our eastern neighbours (don’t only blame the west for all ill in the nation), and many other woes of the youth today have nothing to do with schools.

Another thing to consider is the moral values of the men / boys said to have turned rapists.  One thing I realise is that the majority of the so-called offenders are MALAYS (I’m a Malay myself but I don’t blind myself to realities of life).  These people do not have strong religious grounding or do not practise the religion as they should.  Why?  It goes back to the family background.  As do most discipline problems in school.  It goes back to their upbringing although we teachers bear the brunt of societies wrath at these students.

People question what teachers do at school that they cannot mould the students.  GO BACK AND ASK THE PARENTS WHAT THEY HAD BEEN DOING DURING THEIR CHILDREN’S FORMATIVE YEARS (between the ages of 2 and 5 or 6) when most values are instilled.  DON’T blame teachers!!!

What I can say is, well said and totally agreed. What is all this nonsense about school uniform lah, teachers don’t know how to teach lah and all these crap. If you tell me school uniform is the cause then the whole country is full of young rapist, or maybe you are just trying to say that if you go around raping people in school uniform, then you can sue these girls for wearing school uniforms and while you go scot free and continue your raping spree.

Another point that I like which was this writer brought up is family education. What the hell are you concerned about discipline when you freaking let your own child climb all over you, step you on the head and shit in your face. You make up excuses to not teach your child and when teachers do you a big favour by teaching them respect and all other values a human should have… you go and sue them stating they are some lunatic for slapping or caning their child. Another big utter nonsense.

If they were so precious then why not hire your own tutor from overseas or even oxford to teach them. I have been through my years with caning and even public caning which has shaped me and all the people around me. Even those that we top notch thugs in school has become useful souls in the society, but look at what is happening now. Parents sue teachers for disciplining them, child sues parents for slapping them and in the end there are more useless than the worst thugs back then.

Next time think again when you intend to spare the rod… or complaint about a teacher. Think what have you done to not create your own monster than what other have done to your monster. Of coz there are those that still holds the invaluable values that should be instilled in everyone and those are the respected ones.

Big standing ovation for this teacher!!!

Another thing that annoyed me very recently is the petrol price. I’m not talking about the freaking 78 cents rise but the people that queued like hours just waiting for petrol and also those who drive from Kedah to Kelantan just to fill a tank of petrol.

I’m not saying saving is not good, but look at it, the amount of petrol and time you waste while waiting to fill a tank does not justify. You waste time and skipped meals which damage your own body. Your car emits hazardous gas and stuff that endangers everyone in the world. All that for may be RM 56 if you have a 70 liter tank like mine.

The worst is you caused a freaking jam right at the exit of my housing area and almost caused me to be late for my midnight work!!! And believe me the money you earn per hour is definitely more than what you are wasting there waiting and endangering others.

Now, don’t think I was caught in a war or terrorism act. I am not, really. I have no idea where this character comes from but I find the name quite intriguing. I think it’s from one of the first person shooting games such as counter strike or well, I may be wrong totally. I have not been playing computer games for a long, long time.
I was in Berjaya Times Square armed with my camera trying to shoot them, digitally I mean. I guess I was very late as they were all gathering around the stage playing games and dancing. Apart from that I can see many people buying discounted original games, playing the new online games as well as auctioning for online equipment for their characters as well as character in the online gaming world.
For I have no knowledge at all about online gaming, what else can I do but take pictures without even knowing what characters they are or from which games they came from. However I find this guy very interesting and catchy to my eyes. This guy in mask looks so interesting that I keep my eyes on him. You know, he gives me this mysterious feeling that made him so interesting. Other than that, the other characters look cool too. Tell me which one catches your eyes and may be you can help me in naming them character wise or their real person. I’d like to know some of the girls in person too , if you know what I mean…

As I am typing this one, I am watching the live earth concerts around the world in Australia, Shanghai, Germany and Japan. I know, I may well be the last one to know and talk bout this but hey, let’s answer the call.

Anyway, you can get more information from this site http://www.liveearth.msn.com/ and you can even watch the concert like I do, though it’s a little delayed telecast, but what else can you ask for.

Now let’s enjoy and think of how we can save the earth. And this time I will finally get to see Eskimo Joe, yes Cynthia, Eskimo Joe. Will be back later and Pelf, will reply to you soon.

Birthday Parties
Expressed by zeroimpact on Monday, 2nd July, 2007, 182, 27 at 10:29:05 686

Posted under Everyday Life & My Thoughts

Went to McDonalds yesterday and saw that there was a function going on. It was a birthday party for little bla bla bla. Well, I can’t put the name here of coz, as I don’t know the little chap and I don’t want the parent or any relatives coming after me with knives and forks.

I’m thinking, and it’s been stuck on my mind, why are birthday parties at fast food joint meant for children. I know that children like fast food and stuff like that, but then again don’t we adult succumb to the deep fried oily and whatever fast food outlets provides.

When we are kids, we rely on our parents to buy or even to have a birthday party in fast food restaurants. When we are in our teens we tend to save our allowances or even ask for money from our parents just to eat fast food. But then we never will ask or save to have birthday parties in a fast food outlet. As we grow, it seems to be an uncool thing to have parties there.

I don’t know, why do we have to dress up so nicely and go for very formal dinner parties and not dress very casually and just have fried chicken and fries. It’s just so formal to eat with fork and knife rather than fingers. It’s so dull to just sit and eat and pretend to be someone else rather than to be ourselves at a lower cost some more.

So anyone thinking of throwing their birthday parties at McDonalds, A & W, Mary Brown or even KFC?

If I have one would you all come? The only condition is to have fun, fun fun!!!

This move was supposed to be on 6th June 2007. I know I’m late, and there is no excuse. I did the globe before that, and now I will post this, though late but better than not. I first posted this last year for the first time and I find that it is a small effort which we may not even be getting anywhere.

If you want to know more, you can hope on to Mimi Lenox’s site or the official site for Blogblast for Peace. I’m really lazy, so you have to find them from my links.

I may not be the right person to say this, still I wish for peace throughout the world. May the wars, conflict, and everything bad ends so the emergence of peace is felt and embraced by all

Let’s fly the globes not only in the blogs or the sky, but most importantly in our hearts!

Posted under Everyday Life & Me & Steed & Work

Since steed’s resting and still ongoing operation, I had to borrow my brother’s car. Since I’m so used to an auto, a manual proofed to be a little obstacle but not a big one. I guess its just mind over matter and I have been cruising in a manual one for many years before Steed come into my life. I’m counting down the days to see Steed again, and I really can’t wait. It’s just different.

I was having a discussion with a colleague in Starbucks yesterday morning and there was this new drink. The name is Azuki frappuccino, and it’s not bad at all. And another thing I learned today is eating coffee beans. I know you would normally drink coffee and not eat the beans as it is. The barista was kind enough to give us some bean that was ready to be made into coffee. I find it quite nice, though a little bitter but it was like crunchy. I guess there’s a new snack around, coffee beans, especially from Starbucks!

I’m in need of rest and a little time from civilization. I’m spending most of my time in the office now with scheduled and unscheduled meetings and discussions. That leaves me with virtually no time to even touch my phone to make calls or even short messaging. I guess I should not be complaining at all, for it’s better that there’s work than none, though I have to say sorry to the short messages and calls that I could not pick up and answer. I hope situation will get better and I will be able to execute things that I am used to doing sometime before this.

Now, back to my projects, I’ve got a race against time.

This is annoying me. What is happening? This is about blogspot. Why whenever I click on the post a comment link, it pops up a new window for comments and directs the existing page to the same comment page. It’s not totally wrong, but why! If you already pops up a new window for it, I don’t need to see it again on the main page.

Well anyway, that is just me, I’m getting annoyed over many many things of late. Anyway do you people face the same problem?

Steed’s going into another operation again later today that is if my leave is going to be approved. This time the operation will take about four days.

Spidey At IMAX

Posted under Everyday Life & Me & Movies & My Thoughts

First of all if you have read the reviews, I’m sure you would know that the reviews are putting it down. However it’s basically not the review we are talking bout here. The movie to me was ok, quite action packed and fast paced.

I watched this in IMAX, and of coz it’s not 3D. The screen is really big and a little degree of curve. I find watching movies with this big screen not so enjoyable. With the little curve and the big screen and the seating I had, which was 6th from the back row, I find watching action movies a hassle.

The big screen actually forces your head to move rather than just the eye and basically I could not catch the whole screen in my eyes. Another thins is that the screen is slightly curved, which I guess is meant for 3D realistic movies, made certain parts of the screen a little blur for me, especially the edges. I believe that watching a non so action packed movie will be more easy on the eyes, for throughout the movie I had to move my head just to follow the tail of the action.

Now for a tag by Ah Wen, I need to list down my goals

  • Scores lots of goal and beat all the football teams out there no matter what the name is, and I don’t even like football.
  • I actually have only one which is to make sure my parents will be comfortable and be well taken cared of by me, that is and my siblings. Oh and also all my loved ones
  • Another one just came to mind, peace and harmony to all, even if you are the stupid one who starts whatever freaking bad things in the world like war, economic downfall or any sort of stupid things like that
  • No tag tag for this also, if you think you need to list out your goals then put it up with this taggie, a good way to ensure you are know it and work for it

I think those are goals that are really hard for me to achieve, but hey I’m trying and you can’t stop me.
